All of my storyteller necklaces are a voyage through time through the mysterious caches of my bead collection. I've been collecting old, ancient, rare, unique and exquisite beads seriously for more than 40 years. There is great joy in sharing them and narrating their origins and meaning.
Beads are magic receptacles of memory. I rarely forget where I obtained each one of them, and I live in a vast metropolis of beads surrounded by a bead ocean - and each individual wears its story when I see it.
This piece is a collection of rustic, mostly handmade and unusual beads from old cultures and some new makers. Almost every material and technique known to beadmakers makes an appearance in this collection of 37 unusual beads. Each bead dances on its link in a lithe waltz, and will spark your imagination and conversation when you wear this necklace.
Very long: 46" (117 cm)
and infinite (no clasp) so it can be comfortably doubled and worn in any orientation.
I will be happy to make this into 2 necklaces and add clasps if you desire.
