This exquisite strand is the fourth in a series that was too wonderful to stop!
Starting with a beautiful nugget of Elisa turquoise that looks like a nugget of the perfect blueness of an open sky, I added strung beads from my collection of ancient excavated trade beads, modern artisan ceramics and trade bead replicas. It looks and is ancient and rustic, but is affordable because of artisan work that mimics priceless old beads interspersed with the genuine.
The Elisa turquoise is a lovely thing to finger and ponder as you are wearing it. It gives meaning to the Tibetan belief that every piece of turquoise has a soul.
The turquoise nugget and a two links - one of artisan flamework and the other, a yellow trade bead - are connected by a strand of textural strung miscellany of ceramic, stone and glass. It would be possible to add length without restringing, if you'd like a longer piece.
Please look at the series displayed together: several of these strands would make a marvelous statement! I'm happy to offer a discount if you'd like several strands, but I felt each one was so unique that it deserved it's own listing.
