Waghoba is a Marathi word naming a worshipped Being who can take the form of a tiger or leopard.
Twiga is the Swahili for giraffe.
Each of these simple, light short necklaces can be worn by anyone - to celebrate their animal spirit. And for joy.
A toy stamp impressed was onto a polymer square, distressed and mounted by Jon Burgess of JBD Rustic Organic is the centerpiece of these longer-than-choker necklaces.
Waghoba, the Tiger, has a distinctly bold and intense feel, with its center bead above the pendant of clear green-blue apatite gemstone, and a strand of tan and green earthy jasper. Smooth to feel on the skin and light.
Twiga is light and airy, with picture jasper, bone and wood as smooth and textured as the African plains interspersed with small colored discs of various jasper beads.
I'm happy to add an extender or beaded links if you would like your necklace lengthened.
